Workplace Service Manager

About the role

As part of CBRE & Port Tech, the Workplace Strategy Manager manages a team that provides workplace advice to small to medium corporate occupiers of commercial real estate. The role sits within the Client Consulting function, which covers advisory services on real estate operations and investments.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise employees, monitor their training and development, conduct performance evaluations and coaching, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
• Coordinate daily team activities, set work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, set deadlines and mentor staff.
• Drive partnerships and cross-marketing with internal business lines such as Brokerage, Capital Markets, Project Management and Facilities Management.
• Contribute to strategies that optimize clients' small to medium property portfolios, evaluate location data and guide clients on planning.
• Help clients adopt flexible ways of working, optimize work styles and workplace relationships, and train occupiers through change management.
• Collaborate across practice areas on business development, staffing and marketing, and ensure compliance with policies such as fee sharing, licensing and subcontractor liability.
• Resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues and model CBRE RISE values.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred, with 3-5 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education will be considered in its place.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance appraisal and retention preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive, complicated information and difficult situations, and leadership skills to motivate teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
