Maintenance Supervisor - Cue Apartments

About the role

Cue Apartments, a 90-unit mid-rise community on Capitol Hill in the Pike/Pine corridor, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor. The role oversees and performs technical and mechanical work so that the interior and exterior buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company's standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety and functionality. It is a full-time position based in Seattle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage outside vendors and follow up on warranties by email and phone
• Develop standards for the cleanliness and appearance of the property
• Supervise up to 5 employees and periodically inspect their work, as well as contractor and vendor work
• Complete resident work orders and make-ready inspections for vacant units, including punch lists, vendor scheduling and supply ordering
• Maintain spare parts inventory and assist the Community Manager in developing the repair and maintenance and capital expense budgets
• Carry out monthly preventative maintenance and run safety meetings, keeping MSDS sheets current and staying up to date on OSHA and other safety requirements
• Treat residents with respect and handle complaints and work orders efficiently

Required profile

• Vast maintenance management experience in multifamily housing
• High school diploma, GED or related experience and training
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance or a related trade
• Knowledge of hot water heater repair and maintenance; background in roofing materials (shingle to BUR membrane and EPDM) highly preferred
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively, and strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite required; property management software (Yardi/One Site) highly desired
• Safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools and mechanical equipment; own hand tools required unless prohibited by state law
• Basic carpentry knowledge required
