Warehouse Technician - Shipping/Receiving

About the role

1Resource Group is hiring an experienced, highly motivated Warehouse Technician for its Harrison, OH distribution facility. The role covers receiving, stocking, picking, packing, freight shipping and general warehouse maintenance. It is a day-shift, on-site position in a small team where dependability and the ability to work overtime are critical.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and count product, verify against packing lists, report shortages or damage, and stage items for stocking or shipping
• Pick orders with an RF scan gun, meeting a minimum of 20 lines per hour, and stage them in freight, ground or will-call areas
• Prepare and palletize outbound freight, create shipping documents such as bills of lading and packing lists, and coordinate carrier pickups
• Complete paperwork for receipt, storage and distribution, and perform general warehouse maintenance
• Cross-train and cover other warehouse associates when requested, and complete daily equipment inspection checklists

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED
• At least three years of general warehouse experience and one year of freight shipping experience
• Able to drive and safely operate a forklift, stock picker and electronic pallet jack; previous license for these machines preferred
• Experience with bar code readers, computer terminals and other electronic devices
• Solid math aptitude, fast pace, multitasking and flexibility
• Reliable, dependable and able to work with little direction
• Physical work: frequent lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, and standing most of the day
