Branch Manager - Warehouse, Operations, Customer Service & Inside Sales

About the role

Richelieu, a North American distributor, importer and manufacturer of specialty hardware, is looking for a Branch Manager in Portland. The role manages people and processes across the branch office, covering Warehouse, Operations, Customer Service and Inside Sales, and leads a team of employees.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, document, analyze and report warehouse and customer service metrics (shipping time, fill rate, backorders, sales performance, customer feedback).
• Ensure inventory activities follow procedure and policy (cycle counts, variance reporting, slotting, replenishment, consolidation).
• Make sure logistics operations comply with environmental, health and safety regulations.
• Lead Customer Service and Inside Sales teams using phone data, average order values, order errors and time in presence to maintain high customer service.
• Ensure staff offer new or complimentary product solutions to customers on the phone and in the showroom, and that counter staff restock and perform cycle counts.
• Hire, train, develop and supervise branch staff, and foster ideas to improve processes and customer experience.
• Improve coordination and teamwork between warehouse, customer service and sales teams, and carry out other duties assigned by the immediate leader.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a leadership position, ideally in warehouse, distribution or logistics.
• Experience managing budgets, financial reports or P&L/EBIDTA statements is ideal.
• Forklift certification with experience; sales experience.
• University degree or some college preferred but not required.
