CDL-A Driver

About the role

Richelieu, a North American distributor, importer and manufacturer of specialty hardware, is looking for a CDL-A Driver in Pittsburgh. The driver reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and works with the distribution team to deliver complete, accurate and on-time orders while representing the company professionally, safely and in compliance with DOT and other regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and follow the most efficient routes so orders arrive on time and meet customer needs.
• Load the truck, secure the cargo and check shipping papers for accuracy.
• Inspect tires, lights, brakes and fluids and carry out preventive maintenance.
• Keep in touch with the company during deliveries to receive updated instructions.
• Record deliveries, confirm order accuracy and report any discrepancies.
• Maintain the truck's maintenance and driving record and keep the required safety, security and quality documents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a DOT medical examiner certificate.
• Good driving record.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Team player, dedicated and reliable.
