VP Business Control & Unit, EUC

About the role

Santander seeks a senior leader to oversee Business Control and End User Computing (EUC) across its US operations. The role monitors activities to minimize operational, compliance, legal, regulatory, information and technology risk, and leads First Line of Defense governance for records management.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as First Line of Defense Records Management Office for BSNY and SanCap, governing program strategy, administration and compliance.
• Maintain entity procedures, process maps, records‑inventory standards and oversee Records Management Coordinators.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk and business units to maintain the Records Retention Schedule and approve inventory changes.
• Oversee the full records lifecycle, including creation, classification, storage, retention, legal holds and disposition.
• Deliver training, integrate requirements into risk assessments, monitor exceptions and report program compliance to governance forums.
• Act as CIB US EUC Coordinator, supporting inventory refreshes, control testing and quarterly health reporting.

Required profile

• 9+ years of experience in financial services, records/information management, operational risk or related fields.
• Proven ability to lead regulated records‑management or EUC programs across multiple legal entities.
• Strong knowledge of records lifecycle, retention schedules, legal holds and defensible disposition.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and delivering remediation without direct authority.

• EUC lifecycle governance, risk classification and control testing.
• Risk reporting and coordination with Legal, Compliance, Risk and Technology Risk functions.

What we offer

• Base salary range $130,000 – $180,000 USD per year.
