Accountant 3 – Full Time

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medicine seeks a full‑time Accountant 3 to maintain financial records, ensure accurate ledger entries, and support departmental financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Analyze costs, revenues, and financial commitments to forecast future performance.
• Oversee, mentor, and assist lower‑level accountants.
• Develop and coordinate documentation for budgets, forecasts, expense performance, and presentations.
• Create and maintain MOUs, review employee distributions, and submit payroll accounting adjustments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Technical proficiency with office software and relevant computer applications.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
