Associate, Technology Business Control & Risk Management

About the role

Santander is seeking an Associate to support Business Control & Risk Management within the First Line of Defense. The role focuses on identifying, assessing, and monitoring risks and controls across the assigned business line, ensuring adherence to risk frameworks, policies, and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive risk culture by promoting awareness of risk frameworks, policies, and standards within the business line.
• Conduct risk assessments, develop and monitor KRIs/KPIs, and support remediation of identified issues.
• Implement and maintain internal control testing, validate control effectiveness, and escalate deficiencies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on exam activities, regulatory reviews, and audit responses.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in risk management, internal controls, auditing, or related financial services functions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and project‑management skills with the ability to influence senior business leaders.
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment, including BSA/AML and OFAC requirements.

What we offer

• Base salary range: $65,625 – $110,000 USD per year (visible)
