About the role
The Associate Credit Risk Quality Control role operates within Santander's CIB First Line of Defense, ensuring loan portfolios are underwritten in line with industry practices, internal standards, and regulatory expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, manage and execute Credit Risk Management Quality Control programs.
- Partner with credit professionals, risk managers and issues management teams to address remediation.
- Provide independent challenge to business and credit teams, identifying weaknesses and supporting corrective actions.
Required profile
- 5+ years experience in credit management, internal controls, auditing or risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong written communication and ability to present findings to senior management.
- Advanced understanding of regulatory environment and risk‑based escalation.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with artificial intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with financial statements.
