Vice President of Scheduling – Mission Critical Construction

About the role
The Vice President of Scheduling will define and lead the enterprise‑wide scheduling strategy for a national general contractor’s mission‑critical and hyperscale data‑center construction portfolio. Reporting to executive leadership, this senior role partners with operations, project controls and key clients to ensure on‑time delivery, risk mitigation and business growth.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enforce standardized scheduling processes, reporting frameworks and best practices across regions and business units.
- Build, lead and mentor a national scheduling organization, including directors, managers and project schedulers.
- Align scheduling strategy with project delivery goals and drive schedule performance, forecasting accuracy and accountability.
- Establish and refine forecasting and reporting methodologies to improve predictability, resource planning and risk management.
- Review complex project schedules to identify risk, recovery strategies and execution opportunities.
- Support major pursuits with executive‑level scheduling strategy, phasing plans and delivery approaches.
- Lead implementation and optimisation of scheduling systems, analytics, dashboards and Primavera P6 standards.
- Integrate CPM scheduling, Lean Construction, Pull Planning and advanced project controls into enterprise delivery practices.
- Develop executive‑level reporting tools to communicate schedule performance and project health to leadership and clients.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients and senior leadership on schedule execution, risk and delivery strategy.
Required profile
- 12+ years of construction scheduling, project controls or operations experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
- Proven experience in mission‑critical, hyperscale data‑center, semiconductor, advanced technology or healthcare construction environments.
- Demonstrated success leading regional or national scheduling or project‑controls teams within a large general contractor.
- Deep expertise in CPM scheduling and Primavera P6 in large‑scale construction.
- Strong understanding of construction operations, project delivery models, forecasting and risk management.
- Experience overseeing scheduling functions across multi‑billion‑dollar annual construction portfolios.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field; advanced degree preferred.
