Vice President, IT Applications

About the role

The Vice President of Information Technology – Applications leads enterprise‑wide application strategy and execution. Reporting to a senior L1 executive, this role shapes financial performance, drives growth, margin improvement and customer experience across multiple divisions and regions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the enterprise IT application strategy and operating model.
• Own financial performance of the Applications function, including investment planning, TCO/ROI and benefits realization.
• Represent the Applications function to the C‑suite, board and business unit leaders, aligning priorities and resolving escalations.
• Govern the application portfolio at scale, prioritize strategic initiatives, and sunset low‑value work.
• Lead program decision‑making, vendor selection and delivery of cross‑company initiatives.
• Drive platform modernization, cloud strategy and data/AI enablement.
• Remove systemic constraints and set architectural direction for a scalable, reliable ecosystem.
• Direct enterprise risk, cybersecurity posture, compliance and resilience/DR strategy in partnership with security, audit and legal teams.

Required profile

• Executive‑level leader with extensive experience in large‑scale IT application management.
• Proven track record of financial accountability and resource allocation across multiple divisions or regions.
• Strong ability to influence C‑suite and board stakeholders and to align technology initiatives with business outcomes.
• Strategic thinker with a focus on growth, margin improvement and customer experience.
