Underwriter, Digital Channel

About the role

Converge Insurance is seeking a Digital Channel Underwriter to manage cyber insurance business flowing through its digital platform. The role blends underwriting, support, and broker liaison responsibilities while reporting to digital leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite primary cyber business submitted via the digital platform and maintain the renewal book.
• Review and resolve referrals and edge cases outside the automated underwriting flow.
• Process manual bind orders, endorsements, and respond to broker inquiries.
• Collect broker feedback and share structured insights with digital and product leadership.
• Identify appetite gaps, product extension opportunities, and rule refinements.
• Escalate complex or out‑of‑authority risks with documented recommendations.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of cyber underwriting experience.
• Working knowledge of cyber risk, security controls, ransomware exposures, and cyber coverages.
• Experience with digital insurance platforms or tech‑enabled insurance products preferred.
• Strong decision‑making, judgment, and customer‑service mindset.
• Ability to work Pacific Time hours (9 am‑5 pm PT) or align with that schedule.

What we offer

• Salary $90,000‑$110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and location.
