BU Controller

About the role

The Global Business Unit Controller partners with Business Unit leadership to provide end‑to‑end visibility of financial performance, supporting planning, forecasting, reporting and performance management for a multi‑site global unit.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operations, sales, engineering and other functions to gather insights and develop accurate forecasts for orders, revenue, gross margin and OPEX.
• Lead the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks, delivering variance analysis and KPI reporting.
• Support operational finance by analyzing cost performance, margin drivers and capital expenditure ROI across global sites.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SOX and corporate policies, manage month‑end close, reconciliations and audit support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA, CPA or equivalent preferred.
• At least 7 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in photonics, semiconductor, life‑sciences or industrial sectors.
• Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities with experience supporting full P&L management.
• Ability to work independently in a matrixed global organization and travel 15‑20%.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience with forecasting and planning tools.
• Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
