Senior Accountant – General Accounting

About the role

Provide accounting expertise and financial support within the General Accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Execute general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet maintenance, and month‑end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review and approve balance‑sheet reconciliations and journal entries in compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Maintain and enhance control processes, ensuring compliance with SOX and other applicable requirements.
• Act as a trusted finance partner, building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing accounting guidance.
• Create, maintain, and update Desk Top Procedures (DTPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Mentor junior accountants, promote knowledge sharing, and identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Support audits, compliance activities, and participate in projects, process transitions, and transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (70‑80%+).
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial close processes, account reconciliations and internal controls.
• Proven ability to build trusted partnerships with finance teams and business stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, able to work independently with a customer‑service mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP (or other ERP systems).
• Experience with Cadency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform.
