Terminal Manager

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Terminal Manager for its Houston service center. You will plan, organize, manage and direct all operations to ensure profitability, safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial performance, including revenue attainment, cost control and yield improvement.
• Lead hiring, promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary actions.
• Develop and educate employees, and support account managers in customer acquisition and retention.
• Prepare and implement action plans to meet productivity and service goals.
• Oversee safety, security and loss‑prevention procedures in line with OSHA and DOT guidelines.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of LTL industry, DOT rules, OSHA regulations and hazardous‑materials handling.
• Strong organizational, logistical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of NMFC and tariff rules.
• Familiarity with hazardous‑materials regulations.
