Maintenance Operations Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Operations Associate to join a leading US transport and logistics company. This remote position supports daily scheduling, inventory management, and coordination of vehicle maintenance for a fleet of buses and coaches.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule daily work orders for technicians and maintain accurate inventory records using the Vehicle Maintenance System (VMS) software.
• Conduct regular inventory audits, forecast parts demand, and process purchase orders with vendors.
• Develop Excel‑based dashboards to track bus inspections, maintenance metrics, and productivity reports.
• Train new team members on VMS and Coach Manager, and lead maintenance meetings to resolve operational issues.
• Serve as liaison between technicians, management, and vendors while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in operations, logistics or vehicle maintenance management.
• Bachelor's degree in operations, management or logistics.
• Strong written and spoken American English.
• Experience working with U.S. clients and remote teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or fleet management software.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com.
• Ability to create and maintain dashboards and inventory management systems.
• Strong analytical skills for data tracking and reporting.
