Temporary Security Officer (Moab, UT)

About the role

North Wind Portage, Inc. is seeking a Temporary Security Officer to protect assets, personnel and operations at its Moab and Crescent Junction sites. The role involves access control, facility patrol, escort duties, and incident reporting in support of the Moab Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action (UMTRA) Project.

Key responsibilities

• Check badges/IDs at site entrances and control access for employees and visitors.
• Provide point‑of‑contact assistance to train crews and notify project management of issues.
• Transport train crew on the rail siding at Crescent Junction.
• Conduct daily site inspections, ensure doors and gates are locked, and monitor the Crescent Junction water pond.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in all‑weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends and night shifts.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain U.S. Government clearance and PIV card.
