Senior Security Control Assessor

About the role

MANTECH seeks a Senior Security Control Assessor to provide expert security assessment, authorization guidance, and configuration management for critical intelligence systems across several U.S. locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide configuration management infrastructure and develop CM plans, policies, and procedures for developmental and operational systems.
• Manage the Security Assessment and Authorization (SAA) process for FBI information systems, including new and legacy migrations.
• Develop baseline security controls, recommend impact levels, and define authorization boundaries in consultation with system owners.
• Coordinate interconnection agreements (ISAs, MOUs, MOAs) between FBI and non‑FBI systems.
• Review and approve System Security Plans (SSPs), negotiate testing levels, and oversee inspections, audits, and final SAA package submissions.
• Document vulnerabilities, advise the Authorizing Official, and ensure compliance with security policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years as an Information System Security Representative or similar role at a cleared facility.
• At least 10 years of experience in computer science or cybersecurity.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI eligibility and undergo a polygraph.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Tenable Nessus / Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP Web Inspect, NMAP or similar tools.
• DoD 8140/8570‑compliant certification such as CCISO, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CISSP‑ISSEP, CISSP‑ISSAP, CySA+, GSLC, GSNA, CCNP Enterprise, GCIA, GDSA, or GICSP.
