Teen Coordinator

About the role

The Teen Coordinator represents the YMCA and leads youth development and teen activities at the Waltham branch. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the role ensures a safe, engaging environment that aligns with the YMCA’s focus on Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality programs for middle and high school students, enforcing YMCA policies.
• Coordinate service delivery with the management team to maintain a teen‑friendly and safe environment.
• Monitor enrollment, participation, and training requirements for teens.
• Promote the program in the community through social media and outreach.
• Maintain program areas, supplies, and meet reporting requirements for collaborative programs.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework in youth education or human services.
• At least one year of direct experience working with middle and high school students.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Strong human‑relations skills and ability to work collaboratively.

• Human relations and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
