Technical Consultant, Workday Financials

About the role

Technical Consultants at Ramp work directly with enterprise customers to design and implement financial solutions that integrate Workday with Ramp’s platform. You will act as the technical and financial subject‑matter expert, guiding customers from onboarding through expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical consultant for enterprise accounts running Workday, supporting multi‑entity, multi‑ERP, and global financial environments.
• Partner with Customer Activation and Account Management teams to assess requirements and propose scalable Workday Finance, HRIS, and API integrations.
• Collaborate with onboarding specialists and implementation leads to accelerate time‑to‑value and ensure customer success.
• Conduct technical discovery, recommend optimal Ramp architecture, and troubleshoot integration blockers.
• Influence product roadmap by channeling customer feedback to Product and Engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or related field.
• 4+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, or implementation in a SaaS/fintech environment.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with Workday, including integration patterns and enterprise deployments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for finance stakeholders.

Required skills

• Workday finance and accounting workflows (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, financial dimensions, legal entity structures).
• API integration, integration logic, and system architecture.
• Experience designing and configuring enterprise‑scale ERP integrations.
