Technical Consultant – Commercial

About the role

Ramp is seeking a Technical Consultant to work directly with commercial customers, acting as the bridge between client financial systems and Ramp’s platform. You will partner with Customer Activation and Account Management teams to design and implement scalable financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a technical advisor for high‑value implementations, guiding integration, configuration, and system design.
• Collaborate with onboarding specialists and implementation leads to accelerate time‑to‑value.
• Conduct technical discovery, recommend optimal Ramp architecture, and advise on API usage.
• Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to influence roadmap based on customer feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business or related field.
• 2+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, or implementation within SaaS/fintech.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for finance and operations stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with high ownership.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Fusion.
• Experience with HRIS integrations and finance/accounting workflows.
• Comfort working with APIs, integration logic, and system architecture.
