Tax Specialist – Multistate Tax & Property Expertise

About the role

Entergy Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Tax Specialist to manage multistate sales, use and property tax compliance for its operations. The role involves preparing returns, providing tax guidance on contracts and capital projects, and supporting audit defense.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review multistate sales, use and property tax returns and related valuations.
• Estimate tax impacts of major capital investments and develop budgeting forecasts for future property tax liabilities.
• Provide tax guidance for contracts, material purchases and equipment acquisitions across multiple states.
• Defend sales and use tax audits, analyzing documentation and preparing supporting schedules.
• Research state and local tax issues, monitor new legislation and ensure compliance.
• Assist with regulatory information requests and implement tax planning opportunities and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus).
• 8+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably in the utility industry.
• CPA, JD or CMI designation considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax technology tools such as SAP, Thomson Reuters OneSource and PowerPlan.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat skills.
• Experience using tax research platforms (CCH, Checkpoint, LexisNexis).
