Tax Specialist (Hybrid, New Orleans)

About the role

Entergy Services, LLC is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its regulatory tax work group in New Orleans. The position operates in a hybrid environment and supports both retail and wholesale regulatory filing activities, tax strategy, and compliance with IRS and FERC requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tax adjustments for retail and wholesale regulatory filings.
• Review and reconcile book and regulated ADIT and Cost of Service calculations for income tax.
• Monitor changes in federal and state tax laws, FERC rate‑making guidance, and develop implementation plans.
• Collaborate with regulated filing teams, income tax accounting, tax depreciation, and legal counsel to apply new rules and corporate tax strategies.
• Maintain tax records, returns, reports, and related documentation.
• Participate in the development and execution of tax strategy and regulatory reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Relevant experience ranging from 0‑8 years depending on the level (Tax Specialist to Senior Staff).
• CPA or CMI certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations, IRS and FERC requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of regulatory tax filings and cost‑of‑service calculations.
• Ability to interpret and apply changes in tax legislation.
• Experience working with tax accounting, depreciation, and corporate tax planning.
