Tax Senior – Private Wealth

About the role

Deloitte's Private Wealth Tax practice is seeking a Tax Senior to lead compliance and consulting engagements for ultra‑affluent individuals, families, and closely‑held businesses. You will work directly with clients on complex tax issues, wealth transfer strategies, and transaction planning.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑level reviews of tax research and work papers for individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, and closely‑held corporations.
• Prepare and review income tax returns and related compliance filings.
• Assist in client meetings, presenting tax planning opportunities and transaction implications.
• Provide consulting services on wealth transfer, estate, and charitable planning for ultra‑affluent clients.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience delivering tax planning services or reviewing client work papers and returns.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related business field; advanced degree (MST, JD, LLM) preferred.
• Active CPA license, or eligible attorney, Enrolled Agent, CFA, or CFP certification.
• Prior experience in a Big 4 environment is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using tax compliance and research software.
• Strong tax research and technical writing abilities.
• Ability to review trust and estate documents.
