Tax Accountant – Corporate Tax Specialist (Remote, NY)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Tax Accountant to support corporate tax operations for a growing organization in the Syracuse, New York area. The position is 99% remote, with occasional visits to the company site, and reports to finance and operational stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, and local corporate tax filings and compile supporting documentation.
• Assist with quarterly and year‑end tax work in line with accounting guidance and internal timelines.
• Identify tax‑saving opportunities and support planning activities for efficient corporate tax positions.
• Research technical tax questions, interpret regulations, and present clear recommendations.
• Collaborate with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities on filings and information requests.
• Review entity structures and organizational changes for tax implications.
• Maintain filing calendars, payment due dates, and monitor legislative developments.
• Support process enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.

Required profile

• Experience with corporate income tax compliance in a multi‑entity environment.
• Strong ability to research tax law, analyze complex issues, and translate findings into practical guidance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
