Systems Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Systems Engineer to support projects that blend electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithms, and software design. You will help create and maintain system engineering specifications and ensure new hardware and software meet market requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support system engineering projects with mixed disciplines and understand system implications.
• Create and write portions of system engineering specifications within your technical expertise.
• Perform and coordinate tests, providing feedback to product engineering, physics, algorithms, and software teams.
• Troubleshoot moderately difficult engineering problems, focusing on serviceability and manufacturability.
• Support system integration during assembly and final testing of new product designs.
• Define external equipment interfaces, analyze architecture ideas, and keep documentation up to date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2‑4 years of related experience.

What we offer
