Supply Chain Surgical Specialist

About the role

This position ensures the availability of equipment and supplies for surgical procedures, coordinates the efficient supply and accurate deployment of implantable devices, and inspects system readiness to provide corrective actions so that all items are ready on the day of surgery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling, manage inventory, and ensure proper instrumentation and implantable devices are in place for each surgery.
• Maintain required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials while performing direct patient‑care duties.
• Communicate patient‑care information to patients, families, and co‑workers and adapt to rapid changes in unit census and resource availability.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Required profile

• High school graduate or graduate of an accepted Surgical Tech program.
• 3–5 years of operating‑room experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association; certification in Surgical Technology preferred.

Required skills
