Summer Engineering or Hard Science Trainee (Greenville, SC)

About the role

Michelin is hiring Summer 2027 interns for its research center in Greenville, SC, in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer and Electrical Engineering or Hard Sciences. The internship takes place in an industrial plant environment, Monday to Friday on day shift.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in organizing new lab space for efficient workflow
• Assist in validating laboratory equipment (XRD, ICP) and write instruction documentation
• Research new analyte testing if needed
• Run regular tests on GC, HPLC and UV/Vis spectrophotometers
• Update Quality Control Charts in Power BI
• Assist in internal PAT tests (internal quality control tests)
• Prepare media regularly as needed
• Use Microsoft apps to automate existing manual processes

Required profile

• Major in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or Hard Sciences
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Currently enrolled full time at an accredited four-year college or university
• US citizen, permanent resident or otherwise authorized to work for Michelin on an ongoing, indefinite basis; immigration sponsorship is not available
• Willingness to work in an industrial plant environment, Monday to Friday on day shift
