Progress Engineering Internship (Summer 2027)

About the role

Michelin is offering a Summer 2027 internship for a Progress Engineer at one of its sites in Greenville, South Carolina. The program gives students hands-on manufacturing experience where their work directly improves shop performance and operator outcomes, with practical training in industrial engineering fundamentals and mentorship from experienced IE mentors and shop leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Gain hands-on manufacturing experience in an industrial plant setting.
• Receive practical training in industrial engineering fundamentals.
• Lead real improvement activities.
• Work alongside experienced IE mentors and shop leaders.

Required profile

• Major in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Computer, Electrical, Environmental Engineering or Computer Science.
• Currently enrolled full time at an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Willingness to work in an industrial plant environment, Monday to Friday on day shift.
• US citizen, permanent resident or otherwise authorized to work for Michelin on an ongoing, indefinite basis; the position is not available for immigration sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to learn other software systems.
