About the role
Under the general supervision of a licensed nurse, the Student Nurse Intern provides direct patient care and supports nursing activities in a hospital setting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and personal care.
- Collect specimens, perform vital signs, and document intake & output.
- Carry out technical nursing procedures such as wound care, catheter insertion, IV discontinuation, and NG‑tube maintenance.
- Educate patients and families in collaboration with the primary nurse.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in a School of Nursing or recently completed a nursing program without a license.
- Entry‑level role; no prior experience required.
Required skills
- Patient assessment and vital‑sign measurement.
- Basic nursing procedures (e.g., wound care, catheter insertion, NG‑tube maintenance).
