Strategic Planning Director

About the role

OluKai, a footwear brand for the ocean lifestyle, is looking for a Strategic Planning Director to shape its long-term vision and strategic priorities. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, this highly visible role translates ambitious business objectives into clear, actionable plans across the organization, working closely with Product, Creative, Marketing, Sales and leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the multi-year brand and business strategy, turning consumer insight, market dynamics and financial realities into priorities and growth bets
• Build and maintain long-range plans and roadmaps, and run the annual planning, quarterly check-ins and milestone review cadence
• Partner with Product, Creative, Marketing and Sales leadership to align roadmaps, go-to-market plans and priorities
• Act as a thought partner to the Chief of Staff, framing key decisions and preparing leadership discussions
• Work with the finance team to align strategy with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Turn consumer research, sell-through data, competitive intelligence and market trends into recommendations
• Develop strategic narratives such as leadership readouts, long-range plans and business cases, and present recommendations to senior leadership

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, Marketing or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, corporate development or brand strategy
• Proven track record of long-range plans and prioritization frameworks under real business pressure
• Experience aligning Product, Creative, Marketing and Sales around a shared go-to-market direction
• Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, including materials for boards or senior leadership
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-moving, brand-driven environment

• Salary of $150,000 to $170,000 plus an annual bonus opportunity
