Store Manager

About the role

Hot Topic is looking for a Store Manager in Springfield to lead the store and drive its results. The role covers hitting sales targets, recruiting, development and performance management, and delivering the best customer service in the mall. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the store meets its sales plan and/or comparable sales goals.
• Recruit, develop and retain a collaborative team, mentoring staff through recognition and feedback.
• Create buzz and customer engagement through social media, store web applications and clienteling.
• Run an operationally sound business with clear structure, delegation and autonomy, and customer-first selling.
• Watch shrink and loss prevention, payroll hours, schedules and other factors affecting business.
• Work with retail leadership and HQ on trends and customer feedback, and run sales reports to guide strategy.
• Communicate company policies and procedures, control supply ownership and spend only what is needed.
• Merchandise the store using planograms and launch all promotions on time.

Required profile

• At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; a degree is an advantage.
• Open-minded and curious about pop culture fandoms and music trends.
• Able to move around the store, merchandise products with approved equipment and pack and unpack boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
