Stewarding Food Runner

About the role

Loews Miami Beach Hotel, a reimagined oceanfront resort in South Beach, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Stewarding Food Runner. The role supports the food and beverage service teams by transporting prepared dishes, buffet equipment and essential supplies between the kitchen and banquet areas or outlets, helping maintain operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver prepared dishes, trays and buffet items from the kitchen to banquet rooms or outlets promptly and safely.
• Transport service supplies such as chafing dishes, serving utensils and linens to the right areas.
• Maintain food quality and presentation during delivery.
• Assist with setting up buffets, banquet tables and food stations, and with breakdown and storage of equipment after events.
• Collaborate with culinary, banquet and stewarding teams on timely delivery.
• Power-wash carts, hotboxes and assigned areas as requested, and keep carts, trays and storage areas clean and organized.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, and assist with dishwashing or kitchen cleanup as needed.
• Monitor and restock service areas, report low inventory or equipment needs to the Executive Steward or Stewarding Supervisor, and communicate delays or shortages to supervisors.
• Attend mandatory training and meetings, work varying shifts including nights, weekends and holidays, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Dedicated, detail-oriented, clear communicator and proactive worker who anticipates needs and works well under pressure.
• Physically capable: able to stand for long periods, lift heavy items and operate cleaning equipment.
• Multi-tasking expert who manages several responsibilities at once.
• Previous experience in kitchen, cleaning or hospitality work preferred.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
