Sr. Project Engineer

About the role

Atlas Technica is seeking a senior project engineer to lead technical onboarding and implementation for new and existing clients. This remote, client‑facing position involves designing, deploying, and documenting secure infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical onboarding and implementation of client environments, including cloud SaaS, virtual servers, networking, and endpoints.
• Develop and execute detailed work plans, transition strategies, and technical documentation.
• Perform assessments of client environments and provide recommendations to enhance services.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, communicating proactively to project stakeholders.
• Serve as technical escalation point, mentor engineers, and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Research, evaluate, and test new technologies to support client objectives and company strategy.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of IT experience in desktop support, systems engineering, infrastructure or project engineering.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, networking equipment, and cybersecurity products.
• Ability to create and execute technical project plans, manage multiple priorities, and work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Microsoft Azure, cloud platforms, and related licensing.
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, identity management.
• Networking equipment (Palo Alto, Cisco firewalls, Cisco switches, Meraki, Ubiquiti APs) and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing).
• Cybersecurity/email‑security products (Mimecast, Sophos, Symantec, Proofpoint).
• PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API for automation.
