Sr. Liability Trial Attorney - Texas

About the role

Zurich Insurance is looking for experienced trial attorneys to join its Staff Legal team in Texas. The role can be based in Addison, Dallas or work remotely from the Houston area, and involves defending commercial insureds in general liability matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage moderate to high‑exposure general liability cases from investigation through trial, including pleadings, discovery, hearings and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct full‑cycle insurance defense litigation, oversee post‑trial activities, and provide strategic guidance on exposure and budget management.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor with at least 7 years of litigation experience and active Texas Bar membership in good standing.
• Demonstrated experience in insurance defense or commercial litigation, including first‑chair jury trials and handling matters such as wrongful death, products liability, premises liability and personal injury.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with Adobe.
• Proficiency with Lexis.
• Proficiency with Westlaw.
