Sr. Food Safety and Quality Technician

About the role

The Sr. Food Safety & Quality Technician ensures product quality and food safety in the plant environment, providing testing, analysis, and support to manufacturing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Manager and Engineer with monitoring and analysis.
• Lead the technician team to implement regulatory and company quality programs.
• Use SPC tools and electronic systems for daily problem solving and process improvement.
• Develop quality systems documentation and provide training, record keeping, and maintenance of FSQA practices.
• Collaborate with QA Manager and Quality Engineer to resolve food safety and quality concerns.
• Promote food safety and quality program initiatives within the plant.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s or Associate’s in a science field preferred.
• 1‑3 years production/manufacturing experience or 2+ years relevant lab technician experience.
• Food/beverage industry experience a plus.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SPC tools.
• Computer skills including word processing and email.
