Sr. Director, Learning & Development

About the role

The Sr. Director, Learning & Development leads the training engine that drives revenue for field teams. Reporting to the SVP of Talent, the role focuses on accelerating ramp time, improving sales performance, and increasing early‑tenure retention for in‑home sales consultants, retail and event marketers, canvassers, and appointment‑setting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and own training curricula for all revenue‑generating field roles, including onboarding, certification, refresher programs, and targeted coaching.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to tie training initiatives to business metrics such as close rate, revenue per lead, ramp time, and 90‑day retention, and report results to executive leadership.
• Develop and deliver leadership development programs for frontline managers and mid‑level leaders, enhancing coaching and performance‑management capabilities.
• Manage compliance training in partnership with Legal, Safety, and HR, overseeing the LMS (Docebo), content administration, reporting, and vendor relationships.
• Lead and grow a team of field trainers, instructional designers, and LMS administrators while managing the L&D budget.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in learning and development, with direct experience building training for field‑based, direct‑to‑consumer sales teams in a multi‑site organization.
• Proven track record of training programs that measurably improved sales results such as close rate, revenue per rep, or ramp time.
• Credibility with sales leaders and frontline reps, understanding lead flow, sales processes, and compensation structures.
• Strong instructional design and facilitation skills across in‑person, virtual, and on‑demand formats.
• Comfort with data analysis to identify skill gaps and demonstrate impact.
