About the role
James River Home Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist on a PRN basis to provide one‑on‑one therapy in patients' homes across Lynchburg and surrounding areas.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate clients' speech and hearing abilities and recommend enhancement strategies.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, including OASIS, and document findings promptly.
- Develop and implement interdisciplinary care plans related to speech therapy.
- Provide treatment, assess equipment needs, and record client responses.
- Write clinical and progress notes within 72 hours of each visit.
- Participate in discharge planning and prepare speech therapy discharge summaries.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
- Virginia licensure/registration.
- At least one year of speech therapy experience, preferably with home health.
- Current CPR certification and successful criminal background check.
