Full‑Time Occupational Therapist

About the role

James River Home Health is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide skilled therapy services to clients in their homes across Lynchburg, VA. This full‑time position offers the chance to work within an interdisciplinary team and make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist physicians in evaluating client function using diagnostic and prognostic procedures.
• Conduct ongoing assessments, including OASIS assessments, and evaluate home environments and family support.
• Develop and implement interdisciplinary care plans that incorporate occupational therapy.
• Teach, supervise, and counsel clients and families on therapy programs.
• Coordinate weekly visit schedules with the Director of Therapy.
• Prepare clinical and progress notes on the day of the visit and enter them within 24 hours.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy program.
• Licensed to practice in Virginia.
• Minimum of one year of institutional experience.
