Clinical Programmer

About the role

The Clinical Programmer will design, develop, test, and maintain clinical technology systems such as EDC, RTSM, and eCOA/ePRO. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure data quality throughout the study lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Build, integrate, and maintain clinical databases, edit checks, reporting, and user testing while supporting governance of cross‑study programming environments.
• Design and implement complex data logic, including derivations, dynamic rules, and automated validation workflows.
• Develop advanced reporting solutions, dashboards, and visual analytics using enterprise platforms.
• Configure, test, and validate data sources for integrations and transformations across systems.
• Mentor junior colleagues, maintain audit‑ready documentation, and support release management activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Computer Science, healthcare‑related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical data programming, data engineering, or related clinical operations.
• Strong understanding of clinical data flow, GCP, data integrity, and regulatory standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, and R for data collection, integration, transformation, and reporting.
• Experience with key data‑management tools and platforms, including EDC, RTSM, and eCOA/ePRO.
• Ability to script and automate data ingestion, cleaning, and reporting processes.
• Knowledge of SDLC, validation practices, change control, and audit‑ready documentation.
