Medical Billing, Coding & Revenue Cycle Specialist

About the role

Xel Staffing is recruiting experienced Medical Billing, Coding & Revenue Cycle Specialists for an international healthcare client based in the United States. The role is phone‑intensive, handling both inbound and outbound calls with U.S. patients, providers, and insurers.

Key responsibilities

• Handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls with patients, providers, and U.S. insurance companies.
• Prepare, review, and submit medical claims using ICD‑10‑CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility, investigate denied or unpaid claims, and coordinate corrections.
• Assist with payment posting, account reconciliation, and accounts receivable follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate call notes and billing records within EHR, CRM, and practice management systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in U.S. medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle operations.
• Proven ability to manage inbound and outbound calls in a healthcare environment.
• Strong understanding of U.S. insurance and reimbursement processes.
• Excellent spoken and written English with professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to work independently, meet productivity targets, and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Required skills

• ICD‑10‑CM, CPT, HCPCS coding systems.
• Medical claims processing and denial resolution.
• EHR, CRM, or medical billing software (e.g., Epic, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, AdvancedMD).
• Insurance verification and eligibility checks.
