About the role

Altus Pediatric Billing is seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to work remotely using the PCC (Physician's Computer Company) EMR. The position offers flexible scheduling so you can balance work with personal commitments while delivering high‑impact billing results for pediatric practices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of pediatric claims within the PCC EMR, from charge entry to payment resolution.
• Investigate, appeal, and resolve denied or under‑paid claims, ensuring accurate reimbursement.
• Identify trends and root causes of denials and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Communicate professionally with clients to provide exceptional service and keep them informed of claim status.
• Ensure every patient visit is billed accurately and followed through to payment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience.
• Strong understanding of the complete claim lifecycle, from charge entry to payment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with PCC EMR.
• In‑depth pediatric billing knowledge, including payer rules and compliance.
• Ability to work independently on claim denials and perform detailed investigations.
