Solutions Consultant – Payments

About the role

Billtrust is seeking a Payments Solutions Consultant to act as the payments subject‑matter expert for its sales organization. You will partner with sales reps, payment operations and product marketing to drive both existing‑customer revenue growth and new‑logo acquisition.

Key responsibilities

• Provide credit‑card and banking statement analyses, calculations and recommendations throughout the sales cycle.
• Consult with sales teams on territory and account plans, identifying high‑value payments targets.
• Develop and deliver compelling talk tracks that articulate the value of Billtrust’s ACH and credit‑card processing platform.
• Lead consultative conversations with financial executives, addressing ROI and SME‑level questions on payments processing.
• Design and validate innovative payment solutions for emerging use cases.
• Help create and deliver next‑generation payments training and enablement programs for the broader sales organization.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineer or SME supporting complex financial sales cycles.
• Proven ability to build and present ROI analyses for mid‑market to Fortune 50 companies.
• Strong consultative, entrepreneurial mindset with a results‑driven attitude.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of B2B payments, ACH, credit‑card merchant services, interchange and card brands.
• Experience selling B2B payments, merchant services or accounts‑receivable solutions.
• Ability to present solutions to external groups in person and via webinars.
