Senior Revenue Accountant

About the role

The Senior Revenue Accountant will apply ASC 606 revenue recognition standards to complex SaaS subscription and usage‑based billing scenarios, using AI tools to accelerate contract analysis and variance investigation. You will work closely with AR, Billing, Revenue Operations and Deal Desk to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Apply ASC 606 to multiple revenue streams, identify performance obligations and appropriate recognition timing.
• Analyze non‑standard contracts, flag edge cases and document revenue treatment.
• Use AI tools to streamline contract review and flag revenue‑impacting provisions.
• Perform month‑end close activities, revenue cut‑off, accrual validation and variance analysis.
• Maintain internal controls, support external audits and create revenue accounting playbooks.

Required profile

• 4+ years of revenue accounting or technical accounting experience, preferably in a public company, Big 4 or growth‑stage SaaS.
• Deep knowledge of ASC 606 and ability to evaluate transaction substance.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex accounting concepts to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies and escalate issues appropriately.
