Software & Product Engineer

About the role

Thryv, a work-from-anywhere company that provides software and automation tools for small businesses, is looking for a Software & Product Engineer. The role designs, develops, implements, troubleshoots and optimises scalable, high-performance software and product applications, delivering robust, customer-focused solutions. Interviews are held in English and the position requires bilingual communication (English and Spanish).

Key responsibilities

• Assess and define software and product requirements, shaping the specifications and standards that guide scalable, high-quality development.
• Execute coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting across the full development lifecycle.
• Develop software and product capabilities that integrate with design systems, infrastructure, databases and cloud platforms.
• Evaluate application requirements and architect database solutions that ensure scalability, performance and data integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to translate detailed business requirements into actionable technical specifications and to influence architectural design for a functional area.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities and changing demands.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with programming languages and AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, GraphQL, RDS, SQL, NoSQL, ECS, EKS, CloudFormation, Python, React.js, JavaScript, Node.js).
• Serverless computing, asynchronous implementations, APIs and microservices (API Gateway).
• CI/CD patterns (AWS Serverless Model, AWS Amplify, AWS Chalice) and serverless identity, authentication and authorisation (Cognito, IAM).
