Software Engineer – Infrastructure & Deployment

About the role

Revel is looking for an experienced Software Engineer with a strong DevOps background to design and maintain scalable deployment systems for edge compute and embedded environments. You will own CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and fleet management for large fleets of remote devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain containerized CI/CD pipelines supporting multi‑architecture builds and integration testing for edge and embedded systems.
• Administer hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) build and test infrastructure used for CI validation.
• Manage releases to edge targets using Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, Portainer, or similar tools.
• Develop cloud‑based fleet management systems to coordinate updates and software lifecycles across edge devices.
• Collaborate with firmware, platform, and application teams to ensure seamless delivery from development through production.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Bitbucket Pipelines, or similar.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and orchestration tools such as Docker Compose, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes.

• Python scripting and automation.

• CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Configuration management: Ansible.
• Programming languages: C++ (LLVM toolchains), Rust.
• Build systems: Docker Bake, Bazel, Buck, Pants, NX.
• IoT/edge fleet management platforms: AWS IoT Greengrass, Azure IoT Edge.
• Secret storage solutions: HashiCorp Vault.
• Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana.
