Software Engineer II – Growth Team

About the role

Join BILL’s Growth Engineering team to improve first‑time customer experiences and drive revenue‑impacting features. You will work on subscription, monetization, and pricing workflows while collaborating across product and engineering groups.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enhancements to subscription and upgrade/downgrade flows for new customers.
• Build and maintain scalable SaaS components on AWS that support pricing, packaging, and revenue‑related features.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional product managers and feature teams to align engineering solutions with business goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing large‑scale systems, primarily using Java.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, able to work across multiple feature teams.

Required skills

• Java development
• AWS services (ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, Kinesis)
• SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB)
• Build tools such as Gradle and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Experience with generative AI/LLM integration for software engineering
