Technical Program Manager

About the role

Billtrust is seeking a Technical Program Manager to drive execution of AI‑powered product builds and cross‑functional infrastructure initiatives. Based in Nashville’s Gulch office, you will work within the Strategy Office to translate ambiguous requests into structured plans and keep technical teams moving.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end execution of assigned technical programs, building project plans, timelines, and status reporting while using AI tools to flag risk early.
• Partner directly with engineering teams, hold substantive technical conversations, and translate complex architecture decisions into plain‑language updates for leadership.
• Maintain a real‑time view of program health across the portfolio, create dashboards, and support scaling of program‑management capacity.

Required profile

• Located in Nashville, Tennessee, able to work hybrid from the Gulch office.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT/Data, or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of technical program or project management experience supporting engineering or product teams, or strong internship/co‑op experience.
• Demonstrated ability to embed AI tools into personal and team workflows for planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity, turning loosely defined asks into clear plans with owners and dates.
• Technical fluency sufficient to discuss architecture and trade‑offs with engineers.
• Proven track record of taking ownership of messy item lists and driving them to closure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and executive audiences.
