Social Media & Content Specialist

About the role

RemotelyX is a US recruiting agency helping businesses hire remote talent and is looking for a creative and proactive Social Media & Content Specialist to join its Marketing team. The role owns the content strategy for the client side, the talent side and the Founder's personal brand, covering ideation, creation and management of content across several platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan the full month's content calendar, including client content, talent-focused content and the Founder's personal brand.
• Research organic video topics and content ideas that drive growth, engagement and brand awareness.
• Write and review scripts, captions and copy for social media, websites and other digital channels.
• Direct content ideas on set with the videographer and occasionally shoot videos yourself, especially viral or trend-based content with an iPhone.
• Produce trends, Gen Z-focused videos, educational content and other content approved by the CEO.
• Post videos, captions, stories and other content consistently on social media accounts.
• Track performance across platforms and report insights and recommendations to the CMO.

Required profile

• Proven experience in social media management, content creation and copywriting.
• Comfortable creating and shooting video, including self-filming on mobile devices.
• Strong understanding of social media trends, especially those relevant to Gen Z and organic growth.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and deliver content from concept to publication.

• Copywriting and scripting for different brand voices, including Gen Z.
• Social media management, scheduling and channel maintenance.
• Trend research and turning trends into organic content ideas.
• Analytics and reporting of engagement metrics.
