Senior Test and Validation Technician

About the role

Matrix designs, manufactures, and sells innovative technological products. The Senior Test and Validation Technician will ensure product quality and reliability through comprehensive testing and validation processes at our Newburgh, IN facility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement testing frameworks, test environments, and automated testing systems for software and electrical systems.
• Execute functional, regression, performance, usability, compatibility, and security tests; analyze results, track defects, and report findings.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, maintain test documentation, and support continuous integration pipelines.
• Maintain lab equipment, safety procedures, and provide feedback to improve product designs.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years as a Test Technician, preferably with sensors, imaging, controls, or software development.
• Experience with high‑voltage (800 V+) systems and heavy equipment.
• Ability to work onsite in a lab/warehouse environment and occasional travel to customer sites.

Required skills

• LabVIEW and National Instruments hardware (DAQ, Data Acquisition Systems).
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, RS‑232, RS‑485.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital multimeters, and mechanical/electrical fixturing.
• Programming/scripting in LabVIEW, macros for test automation.
